Wes Thornton: President

Mr. Thornton is the president and co-founder of Reliable Restoration LLC. Wes handles the administration and office operations of Reliable Restoration, and is primarily responsible for the financial operations, budgeting and account management of the company. His ability to handle the internal operations for the company allows for greater market penetration and focused growth, in both the residential and commercial market segments. Wes works with client support teams to coordinate all efforts after a disaster occurs. He also works with the field operators to guarantee quality operations while maintaining margins and cash flow. Finally, Wes works with purchasing to ensure proper inventory and equipment levels.

When Reliable is called to other geographic areas to provide restoration services, Wes will usually remain in the main office to be the anchor for the company. He coordinates the field efforts while overseeing the core business operations. Prior to founding Reliable Restoration, Wes worked as simulated weapons training instructor to the U.S. Army and ran a roofing and reconstruction company. Mr. Thornton holds professional certifications in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Odor Control, NIMS 100, OSHA 10 and Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting. Wes attended Lee University, and received a B.S. in Business Administration. He, his wife and family reside in metro Atlanta.

Bill Giannone: Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Giannone is the Chief Operating Officer for Reliable Restoration LLC. Bill’s responsibilities are diverse, with his main focus being day-to-day administration of all company efforts, from production and personnel to marketing and budgets. During his tenure at Reliable Restoration, Bill’s business management skills have leant themselves to many important tasks, including:

  • Complete overhaul of purchasing, documentation and invoice processes
  • Large loss administration and commercial project management
  • Full project management and administration of a major remediation/reconstruction project after Super Storm Sandy in NYC, including subcontractor coordination, project scope and documentation, invoice creation and support and policy analysis

Bill has travelled throughout the United States for Reliable Restoration, providing on-site management, support and training to numerous property owners, building managers and partner restoration firms. Bill’s hands-on approach to catastrophe management gives structure, ease and comfort to all parties, and his ability to manage the project, the paperwork and the problems make him and Reliable Restoration the most desired partner on a loss.

Bill joined Reliable Restoration after a 25 year career on Wall Street. Mr. Giannone has also operated WMG Consultants, a consulting firm specializing in restoration services and training. His projects have included major losses throughout the United States, business planning and market niche analysis, and restoration business analysis. Bill attended Columbia University, where he majored in Economics. He has served on the boards of the New York Commodity Exchange (COMEX), Holy Cross High School (Flushing, NY), Mountainside (NJ) PAL and Mountainside (NJ) Youth Baseball. He is a member of the Holy Cross High School (Flushing, NY) Hall of Fame. He and his wife reside in metro Atlanta, GA.

Cristina Nemes: Office Manager / Accountant

Ms. Cristina Nemes is the Office Manager/Accountant for Reliable Restoration LLC. Cristina is responsible for all administrative, purchasing, and HR functions for the entire company. She also provides all bookkeeping and compliance services, including payroll and employee benefit programs. In addition to her other duties, Cristina performs many customer service functions, acting as a liaison between the client and the carrier. Ms. Nemes’ proficiency in helping clients navigate claims is outstanding.

Her organizational skills and understanding of the disaster claims process help our company provide the highest level of service to our clients. Cristina has been employed by Reliable Restoration since 2009. She holds a BS in Accounting for Kennesaw State University and speaks Romanian fluently. Cristina, her husband and family reside in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Joey Amelio: General Manager

Mr. Amelio is the General Manager for Reliable Restoration LLC. Joey is responsible for daily production oversight of all projects and coordination between all four divisions. He is responsible for daily crew assignments, daily work schedules, and overall company field operations. Joey works with the division managers in gathering info on each loss. He consolidates this data into reports for the clients, insurance companies, and internally for invoicing and bookkeeping.

Joey also leads all estimators and project managers for Reliable Restoration. He is sent out to a loss and walks the site with the client and the insurance rep, creates and compiles a complete scope of work to be done, and then coordinates with the estimators to submit a proposal for the costs associated with the proposed scope. His expertise in communicating with adjusters and field experts enables Joey to interact with all segments of the market and gives Reliable an edge in executing business and maximizing benefits to the client.

Mr. Amelio holds professional certifications from the IICRC in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation, Fire and Smoke Restoration, Carpet Cleaning, Repair and Reinstallation, Carpet Color Repair, Odor Control, and Health and Safety, OSHA 10. In November, 2014, Joe earned the certification of Master Water Restorer with the IICRC, our industry’s governing body. He is also accredited for Specialty Structural Drying. Finally, Joey has received his Commercial Drying Specialist Certification. He is also, in addition to these professional certifications, a Master Automotive Technician. Joey and his wife reside in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Brandon Nash: Mitigation Manager

Mr. Brandon Nash is the Mitigation Manager for Reliable Restoration LLC. As the Manager, Brandon leads several crews in all phases of mitigation, remediation and abatement. Having come up through the company ranks from cleaning assistant to technician to crew leader, Brandon has all the experience and insight needed for his role. He excels in his position because of his skill, knowledge and desire to provide the best client experience.

In addition to his experience, Brandon holds professional certifications from the IICRC in: Water Damage Restoration, Applied Microbial Restoration, Fire and Smoke Restoration, Odor Control and OSHA 10. He is also a Certified Asbestos Abatement Supervisor. Brandon attended The University of Georgia and Western Carolina University, where he was a member of the baseball team. Brandon, his wife and family reside in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Carlos Mejia: Environmental Manager

Carlos Mejia is the Environmental Manager for Reliable Restoration LLC. Carlos is responsible for all asbestos, lead and hazardous materials projects executed by Reliable. He is responsible for setting schedules, daily work assignments, and overall crew operations. Carlos works with the individual project managers in driving the business, and has grown the division from inception to a major regional force.

Carlos came to Reliable from a large regional abatement firm, and took less than six months to create and run the division in his vision. He has created all procedures and paperwork for use, and has overseen training of several staff members. To date, more than 90% of our abatement projects have been done without any subcontract assistance. In addition, Carlos has added demolition services to his division. Mr. Mejia holds his Asbestos Contractor’s License in the state of Georgia and several other neighboring states. He is also certified in Water Damage Restoration, Applied Microbial Restoration, Lead Supervision, and Bio-Recovery. Carlos and his wife and family reside in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Mike Walker: Construction Manager

Mike Walker is the Construction Manager for Reliable Restoration LLC. Mike is responsible for all reconstruction projects resulting from water, fire, mold, asbestos or wind losses. Additional responsibilities include setting schedules, daily work assignments, and overall crew operations. He also works with the individual project managers and subcontractors to drive the projects to completion, according to scopes agreed upon by the client and the insurers.

Mike spends much of his time creating reconstruction scopes with the assistance of his team and in the interests of the client. He is skilled at maximizing the value of the claim, and works long hours justifying the final scopes and getting payment for the client. Mike is sent out to a potential loss and walks the property with the client and the insurance company, creates and compiles a complete scope of work to be done, and then submits a proposal for the costs associated with the proposed scope. His proficiency with the industry-accepted estimating software enables Mike to interact with all segments of the market and gives Reliable an edge in executing business.

Mr. Walker holds his Contractor’s License in the state of Georgia. Prior to his tenure at Reliable, Mike ran his own construction company for over a decade. Mike and his wife and family reside in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Monica Parrott, Content Manager

Monica Parrott is the Contents Manager for Reliable Restoration LLC. Monica is responsible for all water and fire projects that require the clients’ possessions to be removed, cleaned and stored. She is responsible for setting schedules for pack-outs of furnishings, daily moving assignments, and cleaning crews at our state-of-the-art facility. Monica and her project managers and crews work closely with the client and the insurers to protect their belongings, maximize the value of lost items, and carefully restore damaged items to perfect condition.

Monica spends much of her time documenting the condition of the contents in a loss site, in order to accurately provide a complete picture to the carrier on behalf of the client. Because of the stress involved in a disaster, most clients are incapable of handling all of these issues, and Monica is an expert at easing their pain and taking care of the details. She works closely with the other managers in supporting the client’s needs every step of the way.

Ms. Parrott holds certifications in Applied Microbial Restoration and is a Certified Contents Specialist. Prior to her tenure at Reliable, Monica ran a contents and restoration division for a major national franchise company for over fifteen years. She resides with her family in the suburbs of Atlanta.

Peter Hajjar: Outside Marketing Consultant

Mr. Hajjar is the Outside Marketing Consultant and retired co-founder of Reliable Restoration LLC. A veteran of the restoration industry (1986 to present), Peter specializes in business development, field operations, and large loss projects. His skill sets lend themselves to personal relationships with the clients, giving them confidence and comfort in the face of catastrophe. His business focus demands excellence in execution, whether the project is a small residential loss or a major commercial project.

Peter’s ability to scope, direct and manage these unique claims makes Reliable Restoration the premier restoration company in Atlanta and the Southeast. In the last few years, Peter and Reliable have responded to fire and flood losses for a wide array of structures, including:

His experience in working with process manufacturing and quality systems has translated into an efficient operations system at Reliable Restoration. He, his wife, and family reside in metro Atlanta.
